En una serie de cuentos escritos por Catherine L. Moore, Jirel de Joiry fue la primera protagonista femenina dentro del género. Y a diferencia de todas las demás mujeres hasta entonces, no es una damisela que debía ser rescatada. Esta regente es arrogante, inteligente y tan ruda como el mismísimo Conan el bárbaro.
Para representar a un personaje tan único, no quería hacer algo usual (y definitivamente no la quería con un armadura-bikini), así que decidí hacer a Jirel en una pose más reflexiva. Y ya entrados en acción, hice también un logotipo, aquí está el boceto:
